On November 27th, we held a "Christmas Wreath Making" workshop on the grounds of the Inoue Handmade Paper Workshop.
In a traditional Japanese room featuring old beams and transoms, with winter sunlight streaming in, it was a time to leisurely enjoy handcrafting in a calm atmosphere.

■ Original Wreaths Made with Tosa Washi Paper
The material used is, of course, Tosa washi paper handmade in our workshop. We create a gentle look by scrunching and folding the paper.
Combining pinecones, nuts, and ribbons means that even with the same materials, no two finished pieces are alike.
As we worked, voices like "Maybe I'll do this part like this" and "Changing the color would make it more vibrant!" could be heard here and there, sparking natural conversation.

■ We also conducted a workshop tour
Following the workshop, we offered a tour of the workshop. We introduced participants up close to traditional production methods, tools, and the process of paper creation.
We received many surprised and interested comments like, "So this is how paper is made!"
One of the charms of washi is that creating your own piece after learning the process fosters a different kind of affection for it.
■ Finally, everyone gathered for a commemorative photo.
After completion, we took a group photo with everyone holding their creations. The smiles on everyone's faces as they held their work were truly memorable. Seeing those expressions reaffirms how making things has the power to energize people.

■ Finally
Thank you so much to everyone who participated. We hope this workshop added a little color to your daily life.
We'll continue holding seasonal workshops, so please come visit the studio again sometime.
See you next time!
